With blue skies and nothing but smiles on everyone’s face, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 marked the start of the ever so wonderful and joyful three-part summer concert series in Lincoln Massachusetts at Pierce Park on Weston Road. Becoming a July tradition, every Wednesday throughout the month, a live band takes to an impromptu stage (a flatbed trailer) for a night full of music the whole family can enjoy.
Cycling through classic songs from the ‘50’s & ‘60’s, the musical group, The Nays (a band for over 40 years), started the series out right. Playing hits from the Rolling Stones, to their specialty, The Beatles, everybody in the park was in high spirits. The next two concerts are set to take place, unless rain deciedes otherwise, at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 18th, 2012 with folk/rock band Alter Ego, and Wednesday, July 25th, 2012, with Alan and the Alligators who play original material, as well as covers of rock, funk, and blues music.
Proud to be involved in the great community of Lincoln, Barrett & Company is co-sponsoring the event (along with Donelan’s Supermarkets, Cambridge Trust Company, CBRB and The Groves in Lincoln) and Barrett will be at the next two concerts to pass out beach balls to anyone who wants one (and who wouldn’t?!?). They were very popular this past Wednesday, especially with the kids.

Was the concert cancelled last night? If so is it rescheduled?
Thank you,
Kathlene
