When it comes to selecting an agent, what are the qualities and services you should expect?

 

Personality

Selling a home can be an emotional and stressful experience, so it is important to have a good working relationship with your agent. This starts from the first meeting - does the person communicate clearly, speak your language (quite literally), and understand how you like to be kept informed (phone call, email, text)? Do you share a common connection, and do they take time to get to know your situation (for example, have they had experience working with families who are downsizing and need help to declutter)? You could be spending a good deal of time with your agent so make sure that you get off on a good foot.
