Laurie Cadigan, the owner and CEO of Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty, purchased JM Barrett and Company in 2007.  JM Barrett and Company was founded in 1977 and had offices in Concord, Carlisle, and Lincoln.  Through her commitment to service excellence, real estate knowledge, and state-wide leadership, Laurie has grown the company to now include offices in Acton, Bedford, Lexington, Westford and Winchester. In 2013 the company gained the attention of Sotheby’s International Realty and was selected to be the area’s only Sotheby’s International Realty representative. Laurie has been providing real estate services in the Greater Lexington and Concord area for over 30 years. Prior to purchasing the company Laurie held executive positions in real estate sales, mortgage financing, and real estate management with the DeWolfe companies, Coldwell Banker and Carlson GMAC.

Laurie also has a long-standing tradition of service to the community.  She was the president for the Concord Chamber of Commerce and was named Concord Business Person of the Year in 2012. Among her extensive charitable support activities, Laurie is a member of the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park and is a perennial supporter of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.  Laurie also continues a personal commitment to her profession, evidenced most recently by her role over the past several years as a Director for the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, and she was the 2005 and 2006 GBAR President. In 2007 Laurie was named Greater Boston and Massachusetts Realtor of the Year by both Realtor Associations, and in 2012 she served as the Massachusetts Association of Realtors president.

Laurie holds industry certifications including Certified Buyer Agent, Certified Residential Broker, and she is a licensed Residential Real Estate Instructor.

Laurie and husband John lived in Concord for over thirty years raising their three children. Laurie and her husband currently live in Boston, and she is the company’s downsizing expert, frequently offering downsizing seminars in Acton, Bedford, Concord, Lexington, and Lincoln.
