In 1654, Lincoln was settled by Europeans and is known as the only town in America named after Lincoln, England. Today, Lincoln is a charming and scenic town with a green vibe and an interesting mix of old and new architecture.
Lincoln is home to Hanscom Air Force Base and many historical attractions, including Gropius House, Pierce House, and Joseph Warren-Soley Masonic Lodge.
Lincoln provides beautiful and serene living with a significant amount of conservation land protecting fields, streams, forests, and many miles of trails. Codman Community Farms is a working farm in the heart of the town. The deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum offers contemporary art exhibits and learning opportunities in a unique park setting. Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary offers educational programs and miles of trails to explore. The Mass Audubon and Walden Woods Project are both headquartered in Lincoln.
