We are entering holiday season and our local towns are pulling out all the stops to make this a successful season for their businesses and the people who live there. Shopping and dining in your local town has so many benefits – convenience for you, income for local business owners – and sustaining local stores and restaurants helps keep your hometown vibrant and thriving for future generations. Small Business Saturday is a national initiative to encourage people to invest their holiday spending in local businesses – this year it falls on Saturday, November 26th. Alongside this, local Chambers of Commerce and other business organizations are working together to host fun local shopping and dining events to celebrate the holidays and give you an extra reason to Shop Local this winter. Acton – The West Acton Village Stroll on December 3rd. Join the fun from 12pm- 4:30pm including a Scavenger Hunt, a petting zoo, visit with Santa and the tree lighting ceremony. Stop by the Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty office for crafts and cookies.
Bedford – The Annual Bedford Common Tree Lighting takes place on Saturday, December 3rd at 3pm. Stop by the Barrett Sotheby's International Realty office for pictures with Santa.
Concord – the Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade takes place on December 4th from 3-6pm – join local stores as they celebrate the holidays with music, food, festivities and photos with Santa, Rudolph, Frosty and the Disney Princesses. Don’t forget to stop by the Barrett Sotheby's International Realty office for some of our famous cookies.
Lexington – Head for Lexington center on Wednesday, December 7th from 5pm – 9:30pm for the Taste of Lexington – a chance to shop, dine and support local businesses.
Westford – the 34th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting happens on Sunday, November 27th – head to Westford Town Common from 3:30pm – 5pm to meet Santa, hear the Westford Girl Scout Choir sing festive songs, and see the tree lit up for the season.
Winchester – the 2nd Annual Holiday Stroll Weekend runs from Thursday December 1st – Sunday December 4th, with a host of events including the Red Ticket Raffle, a scavenger hunt, costume dog parade and a visit with Santa. Don’t miss the tree lighting on the common on Friday, December 2nd.
