However, some homeowners have taken it to the next level, putting up elaborate light displays to rival Clark Griswold. There are even those holiday enthusiasts who have set their displays to music for the ultimate festive experience! We’ve asked our realtors for a list of homes in their neighborhood that are worthy of a visit. So grab the hot chocolate, load the family into the car and take a drive around these local towns to marvel at the effort some people make to celebrate the season!
Andover – The Dunne Light Show, Tobey Lane – tune to 87.9 between 4:30 and 9pm each day
Arlington – 9 Keats Road (display with music at 99.9FM from 5-9pm)
Belmont - Pleasant Street (Rt 60) from Arlington line to town center, especially 441 and 429 and the corner of Pleasant and Stella
Billerica – Lights at the Lossman’s, 29Biscayne Drive – visit their website for hours and details of Santa’s visits!
Boston – Christopher Columbus Park, Rose Kennedy Greenway
Concord – Virginia Road; 12 Nancy Road
Lexington – Hancock Street
Lincoln – 20 Trapelo Road
Medford - 41 Mystic Street (light show every 30 mins from 5pm – 7:30pm – tune to 98.9FM to hear the music!); 111 George Street (tune to 96.3FM); South Border Road (nr rotary)
Melrose to Saugus –Lynn Fells Parkway (specifically 16 & 22 and 401-405)
North Reading – 7 Pomeroy Road (tune to 90.1FM Thurs 6-9pm and Fri / Sat 6-10pm)
Somerville – Check out the Somerville Illuminations Tour, a self-guided tour using the map put together by the Arts Council
Stoneham - The Lights at Wolf Hill (83 Franklin Street - tune your car radio to 89.3FM)
Waltham – Albemarle Road
Winchester - Hill Street nr Loring Ave; corner of Wildwood Street and Palmer Street; Swan Road and Myopia Road; Everett Ave
