Springtime is one of the best times to be in New England, when the warmer weather beckons us outdoors, and local fairs and festivals offer the perfect excuse to bask in the sunshine. During May and June the Patriot's Trail region comes alive with a vibrant array of events. Parades, carnival rides, craft fairs, plant sales, and much more, all buzzing with the spirit of community support. May 15th -19th: Apple Blossom Festival, Westford. Hosted by the Westford Kiwanis at the Abbott School, the festival will feature carnival rides from Wednesday through Sunday. On Saturday morning (May 18th), there will be a pancake breakfast and parade, and in the evening a firework display (rain date May 17th).
May 17th – 18th: En Ka Fair, Winchester. Head to the Jenks Center parking lot for rides, food and a huge book fair from 5-11pm on Friday and 10am – 10pm Saturday. There’s also a parade on Saturday morning.
May 18th: Spring into West Concord. Shop local, enjoy art and celebrate community at this spring festival in the village of West Concord! From 10am – 3pm there will be special sales, art activities, a plant sale, live music, a scavenger hunt and more.
May 20th: Bedford Plant and Craft Fair. The First Parish in Bedford hosts its 68th annual plant and craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain or shine). Head to the common for plenty of plants, music, kids’ activities, baked goods, advice, crafters, and other vendors.
May 25th: Discovery Day, Lexington. Kick off Memorial Day weekend with a street fair along Mass Ave! Local businesses will have booths with giveaways and prizes, plus food and entertainment for the whole family.
May 30th: Prom Stroll, Bedford. Join Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty in congratulating the class of 2024 as they head to their prom!
June 1st: Winchester Town Day. Another street fair with local businesses providing games, entertainment and shopping for visitors. Highlights include the Pancake Breakfast, WFEE Road Race and Fishing Derby in the morning, and the Dog Show and Beer Garden in the afternoon. The event rounds off with an evening firework display. Get a head start on festivities at the Friday Night Block Party featuring Ben Rudnick and Friends!
June 7th- 8th: 35th Annual Garden Tour, Concord. Hosted by Concord Museum, this ticketed tour features 6 stunning private gardens, including a Japanese-inspired garden and a low-maintenance garden. Plus there’s an Ask the Arborist booth where you can get guidance on your own garden.
June 15th: 56th Annual Fifer’s Day, Boxborough. This family festival at Flerra Meadows starts with a road race, followed by a parade and other attractions, including food & drink, bouncy castles, music, craft fair and a volleyball tournament.
June 15th: Bedford Cultural District Music and Arts Festival. Head to Bedford Common to enjoy an art and craft show, hands-on art projects, live music performances, Bedford Farms ice cream and more.
