As the holiday season approaches, our local businesses are pulling out all the stops to make this year truly special. November 30th marks Small Business Saturday, a nationwide campaign encouraging everyone to direct their holiday spending toward local shops, restaurants and small businesses. By choosing to shop and dine locally, you not only enjoy the convenience but also contribute to the success of small business owners and help ensure your town stays vibrant and thriving for years to come. Over the next week, local business owners and community groups are teaming up to host festive events and promotions, giving you even more reasons to shop local. Acton – The West Acton Village Stroll takes place on Saturday December 7th. Join the fun from 12:30pm- 4:30pm – complete the Scavenger Hunt, meet Santa and Mrs Clause, and check out the craft fair and hot chocolate station! The fun culminates in the tree lighting ceremony at 4:30pm. Stop by the Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty office for ornament decorating and cookies!
Bedford – The Holiday Kickoff begins on Saturday, December 7th, with craft fairs, a holiday storybook trail and open houses at local businesses from 2-6pm. Head to our Bedford office to admire the decorated Gingerbread Village and grab a photo with Santa before he lights up the Town Common tree at 5:30pm.
Concord – Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade takes place on December 1st from 3-6pm – join local stores as they celebrate the holidays with music, food, festivities and photos with Santa, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman. Don’t forget to stop by our office for some of our famous cookies!
Lexington – Festivities begin from 6-9pm on Friday, November 29th with the Annual Tree Lighting in Depot Square – Santa will be there from 6:30pm. Then on Thursday, December 5th get ready to shop, dine and love local restaurants and stores at the Taste of Lexington from 5-9:30pm
Lincoln – join the community of First Parish Church for their annual Tree Lighting and Caroling on Wednesday, December 11th at 5pm – all are welcome, sign up using the link.
Westford – celebrate the start of the holiday season at the 35th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting – head to Westford Town Common on Sunday, December 1st from 4pm – 5:30pm to meet Santa, hear the Westford Girl Scout Choir and United Methodist Church of Westford Adult Choir sing festive songs, and see the tree lit up for the season.
Winchester – the 4th Annual Holiday Stroll runs from Monday, December 2nd thru Sunday, December 8th, with a host of events including “Midnight-ish Madness”, Red Ticket Raffle, a scavenger hunt, “Nutcracker-To-Go”, and a visit with Santa. You can also vote for your favorite Gingerbread House displayed in local businesses (including our Winchester office). And don’t miss the tree lighting on the common on Friday, December 6th!
