Shaw Distinguished Service Award from the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR). This award recognizes many years of voluntary service, leadership, and loyalty to the REALTOR® organization and its community. We couldn’t be prouder to see Laurie’s dedication recognized on this statewide stage.
Laurie has dedicated more than 30 years to real estate, building her career through leadership roles in sales, financing, and management before purchasing JM Barrett and Company in 2007. Under her guidance, the firm has grown into Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty, with six offices across Greater Boston. Laurie’s leadership extends well beyond her business achievements; she has served as President of MAR, President of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®, and was previously recognized as both the Greater Boston and Massachusetts REALTOR® of the Year.
Beyond her professional success, Laurie has a long-standing tradition of community service and mentorship. From her work with the Concord Chamber of Commerce, her ongoing charitable support of organizations such as Friends of Christopher Columbus Park and Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, and her role as a downsizing expert, she embodies the spirit of leadership and care. This latest honor is a testament to her extraordinary impact on both the industry and the communities she serves.
