Spooky Fun Awaits: Halloween Events on the Patriot's Trail


Halloween is just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited! As one of autumn’s most anticipated celebrations, there are so many fun ways to enjoy the spooky season. Our realtors are always in the know about what’s happening in the community, so we asked them to share their favorite ways to celebrate in their neighborhood. From classic trick-or-treat outings to thrilling haunted adventures, check out our roundup of local events guaranteed to bring plenty of Halloween magic to your October- and use our interactive map to find the ones near you!

Acton Spooktacular Halloween Party (Saturday October 25th). The Acton-Boxborough Family Network (ABFN) are hosting this fun family event at Raymond J Grey Junior High. Join from 10am to enjoy a magic show, family costume contest and other activities. Open to all, registration and $10 payment required for non-members, please consider bringing a donation to the Acton-Boxborough Food Pantry.

Bedford - Annual Trunk or Treat (Friday, October 24th). Local businesses will be at the Whole Foods parking lot from 3:30 – 5:30pm with treats for costumed kiddos.

Boxborough Skating Spooktacular (Saturday, October 25th). Head to Nashoba Valley Olympia Rink from 5 – 6 pm for a free Trunk or Treat in the parking lot, followed by a spooky family skate (fees apply).

Burlington - Halloween at Wayside (Monday, October 27th). Wayside Shopping Center is hosting this fun event from 3-5pm with a DJ and dance party, costume parade, face painting and a photo BOOth!

CarlisleHalloween Spook Trail (Friday, October 31st) Bring the family to Center Park in Carlisle from 4 – 8pm for the Spook Trail - a Halloween-themed walk with tricks and treats!

Concord - Annual Trunk or Treat (Sunday, October 26th). Head to the Beede Ctr Parking Lot from 2pm – 3:30pm with the family for a fun event - register ahead of time if you are planning to host a trunk.

Harvard Halloween Parade and Party (Sunday, October 19th). Head to Harvard Town Common, FiveSparks and Harvard General Store dressed in your best Halloween costume for a morning of activities for the whole family – including a scavenger hunt, music and storytime. Hosted by Harvard Family Association - registration is required.

LexingtonDowntown Trick or Treat (Friday, October 31st). Get your costume on and stop into local businesses (including Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty) between 2-5pm for trick or treating fun.

Lincoln - Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat (Sunday October 26th). Fall Fest is an annual community event at Pierce Park, Lincoln, with hayrides, carnival games, live music, food, pony rides and (of course) a Trunk or Treat! Tickets available in advance or on the day.

Littleton Trunk or Treat and Halloween Parade (Saturday, October 25th). This fun free family event from 6-8pm includes a costume parade and trunk or treat at Alumni Field parking lot.

Melrose - Trick or Treat at Melrose Businesses (Friday, October 31st). Downtown stores and businesses will be handing out treats to young residents (elementary students and younger) from 3:30 – 5pm.

WalthamFall Fun at the Farm (Sunday, October 26th). Celebrate a not-so-scary Halloween with your family at Gore Place. Head to the farm from 1-3pm where you’ll be stuffing scarecrows, painting pumpkins, sipping cider and howling on hayrides!

WestfordMonster Mash on Main Street (Saturday, October 25th). Westford’s first-ever Monster Mash will be a spooktacular afternoon of Halloween fun! Fin begins at 1pm with Touch-a-Truck, Halloween Parade, and a Haunted Trunk-or-Treat, followed by food trucks and more fun at Roudenbush. Rain date Oct 26th.

Winchester FAN and Win Rec's Halloween Bash (Saturday October 18th).  This popular event combines a free downtown trick or treat and scavenger hunt, and Trunk or Treat and party at the Jenks Center Parking Lot with live music, balloon fun and more (tickets required for Trunk or Treat - $10 per family for non-members).

Woburn - Host Lions Halloween Parade (Sunday, October 26th). In its 71st year, this is one of the largest parades in New England! Dress up and line the parade route from Showcase Cinema to Horn Pond and cheer on the floats and marching bands as they raise funds for the Mass Lions Eye Research Fund. This year’s theme is “Witches and Worlocks”.
